About Bruce Ballistics
A new body armor dealer based in Grand Rapids, West Michigan, started in 2026. We sell American-made armor in person at Michigan gun shows and by local pickup.
“It only takes one.”
Why Bruce started this
Body armor is one of those things you buy hoping you'll never need it. But buying it is confusing. Ratings changed names in 2023, online listings throw around "III+" and big claims with nothing behind them, and most people never get to try a plate on before it shows up at their door.
Bruce started Bruce Ballistics in 2026 to make that simpler for people in Michigan. Bring your questions to the table. Pick up a plate and feel the weight. Get the carrier adjusted on you, see the label, and pay only once you're happy with it.
We're new, and we won't pretend otherwise. You won't find made-up reviews or a made-up founding date here. What you will find is a short lineup of body armor at fair prices, with the level on every label, sold by someone who'll tell you what you actually need.
It only takes one
It only takes one bad moment, and it only takes one decision ahead of time to be ready for it. That's the whole idea. Armor isn't about looking tough. It's quiet insurance for your truck, your home, your range bag or your job.
What we stand for
We look for American makers first. When we can't confirm who made a piece (like our plate carrier), we say so on the page instead of guessing.
The maker's model and protection level are on every armor label. Ask to see it before you pay.
Armor only works if it sits in the right place. Bruce adjusts it on you before you pay.
No hype, no fake reviews and no pressure. If you don't need the heavy plate, we'll tell you.
