How to measure

  1. A · Shoulder to shoulder. Stand straight. Measure across the front of your chest from the bony point of one shoulder to the other.
  2. B · Torso length. Measure straight down from the notch at the base of your throat (where your collarbones meet) to your belly button.
  3. Wear a T-shirt, not a jacket. Have someone else hold the tape if you can. Round to the nearest half inch.

Cross-check: a front plate should cover about nipple to nipple side to side. Its top edge sits at the throat notch and its bottom edge about 2" above your belly button, so you can still sit and bend.

These are rules of thumb, not a guarantee. If your two measurements point to different sizes, go by torso length (B). Bruce fits every carrier in person at the show or at pickup, so you can try sizes before you pay. Dimensions are typical for each cut; the exact size is on the label. Why placement matters ›
